2014 Year in Review

December 21st, 2014 (08:18 pm)
current song: Runaway-Leighton Meester

Wow. First off, I haven't written on here in such a long time. Reading through my older posts, I can see how much I've changed even in just a few years. Anyway, I've decided to start writing again on here to just keep a journal for what's to come and that way whatever happens, I can look back and see how things have changed (hopefully for the better).
So 2014 was the first year where I didn't go to school! (like at all) My first year of "life after college" and I've got to say it wasn't all that glamorous (especially without work) but I got through it and now I have a (part-time) job. I did a lot of other cool stuff too. Like I went on a cruise with my favorite band! I met some really cool P-More fans along the way who I'm hoping will be lifelong friends. I had an internship that has inspired me to really pursue my own career goals. I went to a ton of great tours. Monumentour, The Gospel Tour, Quiet is Violent to name a few. And I even went to Leighton Meester's Album release (Finally!) party. I got to see Seth Cohen for the first time in real life too (been waiting a long time for that) Not to mention I met two really awesome ladies. Meeting new people seemed to be a big thing for me this year. I've met so many students/parents already in just two months at work!
But along with meeting new people, I also lost one very special person. Losing my grandma left a great big hole in my part but I knew-we all knew-that time would eventually come. It just sucks when it did. Losing someone is never easy, but I'm glad I got to be there with my grandma in her last moments. I just hope we can still be a family who does things together even though lately it just doesn't seem like it ever can be again. But everyone has their own issues and as much as it sucks, it is the way it is.
Despite everything, 2014 was a good year with a few notable highlights that will hopefully lead to better things in 2015. I'm excited to see what's to come!
